During today's morning commute, my favorite podcast pointed me to something that both acknowledges great frustration I have with mobile phone industry -and- settles my mind on this whole "Net Neutrality" bizness (changing my position by exactly 179 degrees*).

Gotta luv dem internets.

Assuming that the end result of the doing away with Net Neutrality WOULD actually cause the horrific end described in the article, I'm tempted to join the dark side as well.

To your point on legislation, the end goal that you now suggest is a maintained Net Neutrality. If that cannot or will not be enforced by the parties currently involved (the telecoms, etc), what governing party/entity would be in the best position to ensure a continued impartiality? I, too, am vehemently against legislation to one outcome or the other, but if it is indeed to be maintained, I am unaware of any other body that can impose the proper motivations to stop the big boys than our dear old friends on The Hill.

Bush has charged the good ol' FCC with keeping an eye on things.
